Boot-Check Sports Ranch: A Bold New Chapter for the Youth of Magic Valley, and BEYOND
Twin Falls, Idaho — The Jae Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its sister nonprofit, Boot-Check Sports Ranch, a visionary new space dedicated to the youth of the Magic Valley and beyond. Nestled on 26 acres just south of Twin Falls, the Ranch—formerly known as Fleur de Lis—will be a central hub for kids ages 24 and under to unplug, connect, and thrive.
Born from the heart of the Jae Foundation’s mission, the Ranch responds to a growing need. According to the CDC and the 2023 Youth Risk Behavior Survey: (CDC 2024)
• Nearly 30% of high school students said they had poor mental health
• 20% seriously considered committing suicide in the last year
• 1 in 10 high school students have attempted suicide in some form or fashion in the last year
According to a June 2025 report from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, children ages 7 to 18 now spend an average of 7.5 hours per day engaged with screens. (AACAP 2025)
Boot-Check Sports Ranch is a bold answer to these realities—a place where kids can be physically active, mentally supported, and emotionally safe. A space to be disconnected from the pressures, comparisons, and anxieties of today’s technology and social media culture.
A Generous Beginning
Thanks to the belief and generosity of five local families, the property has officially closed. Their support reflects a shared commitment to the transformational work of the Jae Foundation and the future impact of the Ranch. With the land secured, the board is now working closely with city and county officials to finalize design plans and launch Phase 2 of the giving campaign to fund construction.
The Three Pillars of the Ranch
Boot-Check Sports Ranch will be built around three powerful pillars:
1. The Sports Arena: A 65,000 square foot facility featuring 5 basketball courts, 10 volleyball courts, a Sports performance center, an Indoor baseball/softball space, an Indoor kids play area, a Classroom and community space, and a Nutrition and wellness zone
2. Equine Experiences: Hands-on interaction with horses will foster Leadership, Grit, Responsibility, and Emotional regulation
3. Leadership Retreat Center: The existing home on the property will be transformed into a retreat space for Schools, Nonprofits, Community leaders, Youth organizations, Colleges, and Business Leadership Teams
More Than a Ranch—A Movement:
Beyond the pillars, the Ranch will offer immersive outdoor experiences:
• Roping lessons
• Fishing at the pond
• Walking trails
• Outdoor music and art
• Salamander Scavenger Hunts
• “Yes” spaces designed for kids to simply be kids—free from screens, pressure, and distraction.
• So much more!
Join the Movement:
Boot-Check Sports Ranch is more than a place—it’s a promise. A promise to pour into the next generation with boldness, warmth, and purpose. As Phase 2 begins, we invite the community to rally behind this mission and help build a space where every kid feels seen, supported, and inspired.
